Modern, Refined Inspiration in Historical Galle, Sri Lanka
The merge between old and new has always been captivating to me, but sometimes can be tricky to get right. Our recent collaboration with talented Jasmine Pettersen managed to showcase old architecture of Galle Fort in Sri Lanka in modern yet refined perspective. Drawing inspiration from the muted, earthy tones, we designed a 3-piece suite with an envelope lined with old image of Sri Lanka. We wanted this suite to reflect the beauty of Sri Lanka, and therefore, added a map of the tropical island across various pieces.
In addition, we also created two pieces that is consistent but does not detract from the main invitation suite - rolled paper place cards the same metallic shine as the map and a sketch of the venue on vellum and walnut ink.
